The energy expert acclaimed globally, Professor Barth Nnaji, was scheduled to deliver the 2025 edition of “The Bullion Lecture”.
The theme of the lesson is “Architecting The Energy Sector for the economic vision of $ 1 trillion of Nigeria”.
The lesson will be held at 10 in the morning. Thursday 10 April 2025. The headquarters is the Civic Center, Victoria Island, Lagos.
Nnaji, recipient of three national honors: Officer of the Order of Niger (OON), commander of the Order of Niger (Con) and National Order of Nigerian merit (NNOM), is the founder/CEO of Geometric Power Limited (the Pioneer Prinal Power Company in Nigeria).
Nnaji, who was appointed member of the National Energy Council in 2009, was also special councilor of the President on Power (2010-2011); President, Presidential Task Force on Power (June 2010- July 2011); and Minister of Power (2011-2012).
He led the implementation of the privatization of the sector of power and the seizure of Nepa while serving as a minister of power from July 2011 until his resignation in August 2012.
Professor of mechanical and industrial engineering, University of Massachusetts, USA (1983-1996), Nnaji was also William Kepler Whiteford professor of engineering and engineering professor of the Alcoa Foundation, University of Pittsburgh, USA (1996-2007).
He was award for the search for Baker Distinguished (highest research award awarded by the International Institute of Industrial Engineers).
In October 1998, he received the Distinguished Scientist Award from the World Bank/International Monetary Fund Africa Group.
“The Bullion Lecture”, a platform conceptualized by the Center for Financial Journalism for a lively discussion on national and international issues, is always delivered by first -rate academics and professionals.
According to a statement of printing in Lagos by Dr. Ray Echebiri, founder/CEO of the Center for Financial Journalism, organizers of the lesson of the ingots, the 2025 edition of the lesson (9th of the series) would have been honored by the head Adebayo Adelabu, Minister of Power as a special guest of honor.
The conference will be chaired by the National President of Women in Energy Oil and Gas (Weog), Tolulope Longge, while the general manager of the group, Aiteo and & P, Sir Victor Okonkwo and the CEO, Thinkbusiness Africa/Convenue Africa Business Convention, Dr. Ogho Okiti, will be at hand to dissect the presentation of guests as panellistic.
The guests planned at the conference include government officials, industry captains, banking and financial managers, maritime managers, lawyers, tic professionals, managers of the energy sector, members of the academic community, members of the diplomatic body, representatives of multilateral institutions, media professionals and public members.
