Protest: the group portrays, apologizes with Matawalle

The Democratic Party Peoples Young Leaders Alliance (PDP-Yla) has issued excuses and withdrew its protest against the Minister of Defense of Nigeria, Bello Matawalle, for accusations of embezzlement of funds during his mandate as governor of the state of Zamfara.

The group had organized an event on Friday at the headquarters of the Commission for Economic and Financial Crimes (EFCC) in Abuja, urging the anti-innest agency to investigate the minister.

In a statement released on Saturday, the spokesman for the PDP -yla Muhammed Usman admitted that the protest was based on “misleading and politically motivated information”.

He described accusations as an “deliberate intensified campaign” orchestrated by political opponents to obscure the reputation of Matawalle and distract him from his national duties.

“I was missed by exaggerated statements aimed at discrediting the minister,” Usman said, exhorting the Nigerians to ignore the narrative.

The PDP -yla invited the Nigerians to focus on Matawalle’s contributions to national security under the renewed agenda of President Bola Tinubu.

“The group also praised the construction efforts of the Nation of Tinubu and urged citizens to support initiatives aimed at repositioning Nigeria for development”.

Speaking, he also observed that the government of the state of Zamfara is planning another protest and promised to give us 50 million Naira only to cloud the name of Matawalle, but we rejected it.

Their fear is nothing more than the problem of a state of emergency and are doing everything possible to distract people’s attention. That’s why they are committed to mentioning the name of Matawalle everywhere.
