PSG, Barcelona reached the Champions League semifinals

Paris St-Germain and Barcelona have advanced to the UEFA Champions League semifinals after seeing their quarter-finals on Tuesday night.

Both sides have won in the first leg of the bond last week, and lost in the second leg, but it was discharged aggregate.

Paris St-Germain, led 3-1 from the first leg, fell 3-2 to Aston Villa in Villa Park, and managed to advance with a 5-4 aggregate victory.

Barcelona has destroyed Dortmund 4-0 at Nou Camp last week before losing 3-1 in Germany, but became the last four with a 5-3 aggregate victory.

Aston Villa threatened to make an amazing comeback but PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma stood tall for the French team.

Unai Emery and his players are valued with festive applause despite coming out, after returning to the Champions League this season and going far to the last eight.

PSG will meet Arsenal or Real Madrid in the semifinals.

At Dortmund, Sehou Guirassy netted a hat-trick to give the host of hope to cancel the four-goal deficit, but Barca stood strong and defending, capturing additional goals, to move forward.

Barcelona will face Inter Inter Milan or Bayern Munich, with the Italian team led 2-1 back to the San Siro for the second leg on Wednesday.
