Rakitic apologizes to Juventus fans for a controversial publication

The former midfielder of the National Team of Barcelona and Croata, Ivan Rakitic, has issued a public apology for Juventus fans after generating controversy with an Instagram post that celebrates the transfer of her friend Luka Modric A AC Milan, says Tribune

The publication, which included a song from Milan that mocks Juventus followers, attracted a violent reaction, which led Rakitic to address the problem within 24 hours.

In its original publication dedicated to Modric, the new high profile firm of AC Milan, Rakitic wrote: “They do not know how lucky they are, brother!

“Good luck, always by your side! Thank you, brother, for visiting!”

The message was accompanied by a popular Canto of AC Milan that has historically been used to make fun of Juventus fans.

Without realizing the offensive nuances of singing, Rakitic’s publication quickly stirred the discontent among Juventus followers on social media platforms, including X, where fans expressed their frustration for the slight perceived.

Responding to the uproar, Rakitic turned to his official Instagram story to clarify his intentions and apologize.

“I want to offer my most sincere apologies to Juventus fans,” he wrote. “My intention was to use only a song associated with AC Milan to congratulate my friend Modric, without being aware of the historical context or related lyrics.

“I had absolutely no intention of offending anyone, and less a club for which I have the greatest respect.”
