Rangers Manager Praises Resurgent Dessers

Rangers manager, Philippe Clement has expressed satisfaction with Cyriel Dessers’ contributions to the team.

Clement emphasized Dessers’ improvement since his tenure began.

Despite facing criticism following his move from Cremonese last summer, the 29-year-old forward saw a turnaround in his form, rebounding from being dropped by former boss Michael Beale.

In the last eight league appearances for the Gers, Dessers has showcased his prowess, finding the net four times.

Notably, the Nigerian played a pivotal role in ending Rangers’ 12-year league title drought, contributing to the final victory over Aberdeen this past Sunday.

“I don’t look at transfer windows from the past. My job is to get the best out of the players that are there,” Clement was quoted as saying by Rangers Review.

“Cyriel Dessers is improving; he scored last weekend and also on Thursday against Betis. It is my job to make choices, together with a board, of what we should do in January to strengthen the core.

“I also don’t think that after three months you can say with certainty that a player is good enough or not.”
