The House of Representatives Committee on University Education has invited the Minister of Education, Dr. Morufu Alausa, for the alleged sack of universal vice rector in the country.
The committee will also ask for Alausa for the dissolution of the government council.
The Chair of the Committee, Abubakar Fulata, announced an invitation at a committee meeting on Friday in Abuja.
He said the minister was invited because of a series of petitions against him.

He registered universities affected to include Federal Education University Alvan Ikoku, Oowerri, Nnamdi Azikwe University (Unizik), Awka, and Nigeria University, NSUKKA (UNN). “
MPs deplore that the education sector is currently put to sleep with unstable leadership challenges due to the dissolution of the governing council and the elimination of substantive Chancellor representatives by the Minister.
