Representatives reject bills about presidential rotation between six Nigerian zones

The House of Representatives, on Tuesday, rejected the Bill on Presidential Rotation between the Six Geopolitical Zones of the State.

The lower legislative room also rejected six other bills on the 1999 constitutional amendment registered to be considered on Tuesday.

However, parliament members decided to bring back bills to be considered on Wednesday.

In the plenary, parliament members focused on the bill that seek the rotation of the president and deputy offices between six geopolitical zones and warnings so as not to burn the country with such ideas.

Deputy Minority Leader, Aliyu Madaki, was the first person to talk about the bill

He said the problem to be cured by the Bill had been handled by the Federal Character Commission (FCC).

He stressed that the presidency of rotation should not be included in the constitution, but is permitted to remain like that.

On his side. MPs from the State of Oyo, Shina Oyedeji, said the inclusion of the principle of rotation in the constitution would open the way for other agitation rounds for justice and justice in the country.

He stressed that every part of the country must be given the same opportunity to produce the president and vice president.
