The Ad-Hoc Committee of the Rehok Representative Council regarding the rehabilitation and operationalization of the Baro Inland Port on Tuesday summoned the Minister of Sea and Blue Economics, Adegboyega Oyetola, on the Multi-Miliar-Nira Inland port project.
Managing Director of National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA), the Oyebamiji Ball, will also appear before parliamentary members to clarify the problems surrounding the project.
The head of the committee, Saidu Abdullahi, called both at the investigation hearing in Abuja.
He directed the Minister and Niwa to provide all relevant documents related to planning, construction, surrender, and the current state of the port within seven days.
Abdullahi said: “We need everything, full contract files, evaluation reports, and what evidence has been done. We ask all relevant documents as far as the Port of Baro.
