Republican Troops Niger killed the leader of Boko Haram in Lake Chad

Nigerien’s troops have killed a leader of the Boko Haram sect, who was identified as Ibrahim Mahamadu alias Bakura, in the Danau Chad basin.

The West African country that was locked in mainland shared the border with Nigeria, Chad and Cameroon on Lake Chad Basin.

The Nigerien army confirmed the news in a statement on Friday in Niamey.

Bakura, who led a faithful flake group to the former leader of Boko Haram, Abubakar Shekau, was killed during the “surgical operation” on an island in the southeastern Diffa Niger region on August 15.

The 40 -year -old player refused to join the rival of the West African Province (ISWAP), and moved to Lake Chad Basin with his fighters.

The Nigerien army said “Leaders who are feared” from the Boko Haram sect are targeted by fighter jets at the beginning of the decisive day.

“Very morning on the morning of August 15, an Air Force fighter launched three targeted and successive attacks in the position used by Bakura to occupy in Shilawa,” the Army said.
