Reuben Muoka retires from the NCC as director of public affairs

Reuben Muoka: a bright era ends in a graceful style at the NCC


After a bright era, characterized by a meritorious service, Reuben Mouka, a journalist and professional veteran of public relations, retired as director of public affairs of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC).

Muoka joined the Commission for Nigerian communications, NCC, from the Gutuard newspaper, where he was a hi-tech publisher, about 18 years ago.

He was promoted to the position of the Director of Public Affairs (DPA) of the Commission on Monday 20 June 2022.

It happened to dr. Ikechulkwu Adinde, which was redistributed to the Commission’s special service unit.

Muoka had worked in that UNUT as the main officer for several years under the engineer Ernest Ndukwe and the late Dr. Eugene Juwah.

He was sent to the special departments and economic policy and analysis at some point during Professor Umar Danbatta’s first term as Evc.

He was at the head of the media and public relations from 2009 to 2015, when Danbatta resumed as Evc.

In Vanguard, Muoka worked with Okooh Aihe, who recently retired from the NCC, to manage the newspaper hi-tech pages and reported tics for several years.

He left Vanguard to work at MTS First Mobile, a pioneering company in mobile communication in Nigeria, as head of business affairs.

Muoka has the first and second degree in mass communication.

It was once president of the League of Communications Reports, a beat association created in 1988 to help Tic journalists become professional tic journalists.
