River Park: the Attorney General takes over against Ghana investors, lawyer

The Office of the Prosecutor General of the Federation (AGF) and the Minister of Justice has taken on the pursuit of the criminal accusations against investors and owners of the Ghana of Jonahcapital Ltd on the dispute on the River Park estate.

On June 25, the Nigerian police force had presented a criminal accusation of 26 counts before a high court of the FCT in Gwarinpa against the directors of Jonahcapital Ltd, i.e. Sam Jonah, Kojo Ansah, Victor Quainoo, company, company, Mobi Property Ltd, and their Nigerian lawyer, Abu of Abu, training the confession of the company.

At the hearing taken on Thursday, a state consultant, Adneronke Imana, informed the Court that AGF had commissioned her to detect the matter, relying on the powers granted in section 174 of the Nigerian Constitution, 1999.

“I have the instructions of the honorable general prosecutor of the Federation to take the case by the police forces of Nigeria, so that you can have the opportunity to review the file because there are many letters and petitions in this sense,” he said.

The consultant observed that so far the Nigerian police have failed to release the file in the AGF.

In the absence of any objection, Modpe-Osho Adbiyi justice granted the application and set the question for further hearings on 11 November.

Nowadays Jonahcapital’s directors and their lawyer have argued that the criminalization of routine documents with CAC and earth controversies.

They recalled that they had notified the subscribers to the Earth and the public in May that the police were trying to suppress the investigative panel of 10 men who examined the same charges of falsification made against them by a Paul Odili of Paulo Homes, an applicant against the subject.

They also argued that the latest accusations were born from a new relationship, in a hurry from the head of the IGP monitoring unit, DCP Akin Fakorede, who offended them without listening to them.

It will be remembered that the Minister of FCT Nyesom Wike, had on the political platform of TV channels on Thursday 18 September, said that the ministerial panel on the matter discovered that the FCT signed an agreement with Jonahcapital Nigeria Ltd, promoted by Sir Samuel Esson Jonah as original owner of the plot 4 CadaStal, E30 Lugbe, Abuja, during the Obason president Obasanj.

Wike said that a controversy arose when Jonahcapital brought a third party (Paulo Homes) to help them get buildings of buildings from the control of FCT development in exchange for some actions.

The minister also affirmed the ownership of the Ghanaian investors of the River Park estate.
