Sa’adatu Rimi University of Education, Kumbotso, Kano has been allocated 2,000 places by the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) for admission into the university for the 2024/2025 academic session.

This was announced by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Yahaya Bunkure, who noted that the figure is higher than the 1,740 students admitted last year.

The university has set a minimum admission mark of 145, which is higher than the national minimum of 140 set by JAMB.

However, Prof Bunkure stressed that a score of 145 points does not guarantee automatic admission as the university will give priority to students with the highest scores, especially in competitive fields.

In addition, the university invested N370 million in the construction of new lecture halls, staff rooms and other facilities.

Prof Bunkure also warned students against engaging in cults or unregistered associations as the university has a zero tolerance policy on indiscipline and misconduct.
