The explanation of the gospel and being born again…

Everyone was born into sin because of the first man in Adam, and everyone is a partaker of sin because of man's brokenness as explained above. And sin is what separates man from God. We saw the old days when people did something to offend God (sin), they would make a "sacrifice" to appease God. They will slaughter "lamb" or other animals and what they were really attempting to do is to give life in place of death (the wages of sin is death according to God's word).

So for the sake of more granularity, the life of anything is in the blood, and so the spilling of the animals blood, was done in sacrifice to offer life in place of the death brought upon man through sin – which brings death (spiritual death).

So when Christ came in the flesh, he lived a perfect life as God's own, and then he gave his own life and his own blood as the ultimate sacrifice for all sin in order to reconcile man back to God forever (to make man's relationship with God perfect again and to right the wrong that Adam and Eve had through sin. By what Jesus did, there will never again be any need for any other sacrifice to appease God because the ultimate sacrifice had been given ). Consider also that Christ was without sin and this is important because it speaks to him being a perfect "lamb" (sacrifice) to overcome all sin and the death that comes with it.

For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son John 3.16)..

So Christ died as a sacrifice to pay for all our past and also future sins and mistakes

Romans 5:6-8: “For while we were still helpless, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. For one will hardly die for a righteous man; though perhaps for the good man someone would dare even to die. (Romans 5: 6 -8) But God demonstrates His own love toward us in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us"

But he rose again on the third day, so we can have new life in Jesus. That means our old self dies when we give our life to Christ and we are raised with Jesus into a new life in God. That's what being born again means – that when we truly put our faith in Jesus, he gives us the holy spirit, and our old self dies through the sacrifice of Jesus death, and also our new self is raised in him through his raising up at his resurrection.

So everyone who puts their faith in Christ is made right with God and nothing ever separates us from him again. "And all of this is a gift from God, who brought us back to himself through Christ" 2nd Corinthians 5:18.

And this is for those who actually believe and put their faith in Jesus.

So for someone to be born again they must recognise that that one is weak and cannot save himself except he/she puts their faith in a saviour whom God sent which is Jesus and through him we are brought – out of darkness that leads to death – and into light leading to eternal life. This will not be possible if Jesus didn't rise from the dead which is the symbol of an old life dying and a new life in Christ.
