Sahara Group, a leading global energy and infrastructure conglomerate, announced open enrollment for its #SaharaBeyondXXX Graduate Management Trainee (GMT) program, an accelerated talent pipeline designed to identify and develop the next generation of leaders who will drive the company’s continued transformation.

The #SaharaBeyondXXX GMT program is aimed at high-potential young professionals ready to quickly move from learning to responsibility, playing active roles in Sahara’s integrated energy value chain spanning upstream, midstream, downstream, energy and technology activities.

The program is anchored in Sahara’s Beyond XXX vision, which marks the company’s 30-year milestone and signals its commitment to providing Xtra value for people, Xtra care for the planet and Xtra solutions for the future.

Speaking at the launch, Bethel Obioma, Head of Corporate Communications, Sahara Group, said the program reflects Sahara’s belief that people remain the most important driver of sustainable growth.

“As Sahara celebrates 30 years of Making A Difference, the Beyond XXX GMT program aims to look forward with intention. We are looking for bold, visionary young professionals who are ready to think differently and take responsibility early.”

Obioma said that in addition to developing talent to serve the energy value chain in regional and global markets, the program is committed to developing leaders who will provide “extra impact for Africa’s energy future”.

Furthermore, Sahara Group’s head of human resources, Emilomo Arorote, described the program as a deliberate investment in building the energy conglomerate’s leadership capacity. “The GMT #SaharaBeyondXXX program is designed for agile and resilient professionals with the mindset, curiosity and courage to become leaders,” Arorote said.

Arorote said participants will gain broad exposure to the energy ecosystem, develop critical capabilities and be equipped to significantly contribute to Sahara’s long-term growth and transformation.

Sahara Group currently operates across Africa, Asia, Europe and the Middle East and is powered by over 6,000 professionals united by the company’s MAD ethos: Making a Difference. The GMT program remains a key part of Sahara’s talent strategy, producing leaders who continue to play critical roles in its global operations.

Open to young graduates across all disciplines, applications for the GMT #SaharaBeyondXXX program close on 17 April 2026. Interested candidates are encouraged to apply via Sahara Group’s official channels and follow @iamsaharaGroup on Instagram for updates.
