Nigeria’s Samuel Ogazi finished seventh in the men’s 400m final at the Paris Olympics, with a time of 44.73 seconds.
Despite failing to medal, Ogazi continued to impress with another sub-45 second performance.
The gold medal went to American Quincy Hall, who put in a remarkable sprint in the last 50 metres to take the title.
Hall clocked a personal best of 43.40 seconds, beating Britain’s Matthew Hudson-Smith, who led for much of the race.
Hudson-Smith finished in a European record time of 43.44 seconds, winning the silver medal.
Muzala Samunkonga of Zambia took bronze, setting a new national record with a time of 43.74 seconds.
