The Joint Security Task Force on Tuesday killed 30 people suspected of being bandits in the state of Katsina.
The bandits were killed in simultaneous operations carried out in the Kadisau, Raudama, and Sabon Layi community in the Fascari Regional Government in the state by the joint security forces consisting of police and military personnel.
Commissioner of the State and Domestic Affairs, Nasir Mua’zu, who confirmed the news in a statement on Wednesday in Katsina, said three mobile police personnel and two soldiers were killed in the operation.
He added that one other officer, Ya’u Aliyu suffered a gunshot wound.
Mua’zu expanded the condolences of the dtate government to the family of the security agent and the affected community.

“We will not rest until every criminal element is removed from our region. Likewise, our security operations are being intensified, and we work tirelessly with federal security institutions to ensure the safety of all citizens.
“Together, we will overcome this challenge and build a safer Katsina country for all,” he said.
