The parents of the minor told journalists that Senator Aishatu Dahiru Ahmed, popularly known as Binani, a former candidate for the Governorate in the state of Adamawa, visited their home to beg them not to reveal the scandal.
They also said that after the accident, Abo repeatedly sent money to the victim’s father in what they described as an attempt to suppress the matter.
At the time of this report, Abo was still in custody at the FCID.
The fought legislator is not unrelated to the dispute. In 2019, he was arrested after a video emerged that he showed him to attack a woman in a sexual toy shop in Abuja. More recently, a married woman accused him of blackmailing her with a sex tape.
According to reports, the alleged rape took place on June 29, 2025, in the residence of Abbo in Katami, Abuja.
