Astronauts serving the oldest in America have landed on earth on his 70th birthday.

NASA Astronaut Donald Pettit and two Russian cosmonauts have been in a seven -month mission to the International Space Station (ISS).

Soyuz MS-26 spacecraft carrying Mr. Pettit and Russia Alexey Ovchinin and Ivan Vagner landed on Kazakhstan on Sunday.

“Deorbiting and his offspring to the earth are normal,” said Russian Roscosmos Space Agency.

The seven -month science mission of the crew began on September 11, 2024. They orbited the earth 3,520 times for 220 days in space.

Mr Pettit has conducted research to improve the ability to printing 3D metal in orbit, advanced water sanitation technology, explore plant growth under various water conditions and investigates fire behavior in micro -weight force, according to NASA.

It was the fourth time in space for Mr. Pettit and Mr. Ovchinin, while it was MR Vagner’s second spaceflight.
