At least seven people were killed in a morning accident at the Nipco filling station along the Lagos-Ibadan toll road on Saturday.
Spokesperson for the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in the State of Ogun, Ny. Florence Okpe, confirmed the incident in a statement in Abeokuta.
He said a Mack truck marked Sey 363 YY, a tanker with T2900LA registration number, and a bus marking LSD 180 was involved in the accident, which occurred at 7:00 in the morning on the highway.
The spokesman added that 15 people – 13 men and two women – were involved in the accident.

According to four people injured in the accident.
Okpe said: “The accident occurred due to speed and loss of control by the Mack truck driver, which crashed into two other vehicles.
“The injured victims were taken to the Divine Touch Hospital and Glory Center Hospital, Ibafo, while the deceased was taken to the morgue, Sagamu.”
FRSC sector commander in the state, Mr. Akinwumi Fasakin sympathized with the families of the victims.
