Seven delets for alleged confidential community membership in Oyo

The police on Thursday charged seven people in the judge court Iyaganku in Ibadan, the state of Oyo, because of the alleged membership of the secret community.

The defendants were – Bashit Adigun (30), Tunde Adekunle (35), Ramadan Abisoye (25), Samson Adelakun (33), Wasiu Habeeb (29), Timileyin Fadairo (28), and Promise Adegoke (28).

The defendants were charged with conspiracy, community membership that violated the law, and made the possibility of causing violations of peace.

Prosecutor, Sergeant. Samuel Owolabi told the court that the defendants committed violations on May 31 in the GBAGI Ibadan region.

He accused that the defendants illegally belonged to a secret community called “Alora Confaterernity.”

The prosecutor said the defendants were arrested while holding a meeting at the T2G Hotel, the GBAGI area in Ibadan.

He said the violation was contrary to Section 516, 62, 64 (A) and 249 (d) Criminal Law of the State of Oyo, 2000.

However, they claimed to be innocent for the accusation.

Judge Gladys Oladele gave a guarantee to the defendants in the number of N500,000 each with two mushrooms each in the same amount.

He postponed this case until July 29 for hearing.
