Shaffy Bello ties his tubes and explains the reasons…

Veteran Nollywood actress Shaffy Bello made a big personal decision years ago regarding giving birth.

During a recent discussion about motherhood on her YouTube channel, Shaffy Bello TV, the actress revealed that she underwent medical surgery to avoid having more children because she didn’t want a large family.

According to Bello, she decided to have her fallopian tubes tied about 26 years ago after concluding that she had achieved the number of children she wanted.

She noted that despite her firm stance, her ex-husband had hoped that they would expand their family.

“My ex-husband had to beg me for another one. I didn’t want many children. I wanted to stop,” she said.

The actress explained that the procedure involved doctors performing the operation through her belly button, where they tied her fallopian tubes, making it impossible for her to conceive again.

Describing the process, she said: “So they went through my belly button, got in there, did what they had to do and tied it up. That’s it. They closed up my eggs.”

Bello added that she was always certain of the size of the family she wanted and never felt pressured to have more children than she felt comfortable with.

She jokingly added that if she ever got pregnant after the surgery, it would feel like a miracle.

“I always told myself that if I got pregnant after having my tubes tied, I would feel like Maria, she’s a holy child,” Bello said. [Prompt News]
