The Office of Economic and Organized Crimes (EOCO) has arrested Dancehall artist Ghana Shatta Wale in connection with an ongoing investigation of alleged tax violations using expensive Lamborghini.
Investigators found deviations in payment of import duties in luxury cars, which openly launched earlier this year, encouraging musicians to be called to be interrogated, according to Eoco sources.
According to the report, Shatta Wale was detained for several hours on Tuesday when the police asked for an explanation of several documents related to vehicles.
Following the arrest of musicians by the Eoco because of a tax compliance investigation involving the purchase of Lamborghini Kuning, Shatta Wale’s management has issued an official statement.

To help the ongoing investigation, Artist Dancehall willingly appeared at the Eoco headquarters with his lawyer, Cephas Biyuo, according to a statement released on Wednesday, August 20.
The statement reads thus: “Management of Artist Dancehall Shatta Wale (Charles Nii Armah Menah Jr.) issued this statement after his detention by the Office of Economic and Organized Crimes (EOCO) today. This follows an investigation related to the tax obligations of the Lamborghini vehicle presented by the perpetrators. Biyuo, to help the investigation.
” We want to convince all fans and the general public that the legal team is fully involved and actively works with the authorities to solve this problem. They take all the steps needed to secure their release on the earliest occasion. We urged the SM Families and all sympathizers to remain calm and avoid speculation. We have the greatest trust in the judicial process. Management and legal representatives will return to the Eoco office tomorrow morning to continue this discussion. We will provide further updates accordingly. “
