The Prime Minister of the Government in Exile of the Republic of Biafra, Simon Ekpa, has voiced his support for the Nigerian woman living in Canada, Amaka Patience Sunnberger, who made the news for calling on Igbo people to poison Yoruba and Benin people.
While many Nigerians have vilified Sunnberger, including the House of Representatives who called on Canadian authorities to arrest and prosecute him, Ekpa has urged support for him, claiming that his anger is a result of years of oppression of the Igbo people by other Nigerian tribes.
“Our sister in Canada must be protected, her comments on poisoning are a result of long term intimidation by the Nigerians she threatens,” Ekpa wrote on her X account on Friday.
βHe was not just a victim of bullying but he was a victim of murder. They killed him spiritually during the election. They killed him even before the election. The accumulated anger prompted him to speak out. So, the Biafran Government will provide legal services if necessary.
“Nigeria and Nigerians have killed her people physically in Lagos and other parts of Nigeria. They have tortured her mentally, only a true Biafran will understand the reason why a woman dares to make such statements on social media.
“He only talks while killers are almost killing his people and there is no anger. Ohaneze which no longer exists and denies it has been banned in Biafraland and as I speak they will never be able to gather anywhere in Biafraland to have a meeting with Ohaneze.
βI challenge to announce that they will hold an Ohaneze meeting anywhere in Biafra Land.β
