Shehu Sani asked the government to involve the Fulani community in making security policies

Former Kaduna Central MPs member, Senator Shehu Sani, has asked the Federal government to include the Fulani community in making security policies as a step to overcome banditri and terrorism in the north.

Sani, who made a call on the annual pulau day organized by the National Association of Fulbe Students at the University of Ahmadu Bello (Abu) Zaria on Tuesday, emphasized that actively involving the Fulani community in making decisions about security issues would reduce bandits rather than undermine the reputation and acceptance of the Fulani competition.

“While I appreciate the government in fighting banditri and terror attacks, I also want to encourage the government to involve the Fulani community in making policies on security issues to achieve the desired results,” Sani said.

“I want to praise the efforts of Abu students to determine good precedents to unite Fulbes and explore solutions to problems that still affect the Fulani race.”

The former senator became an activist who condemned the widespread bandit effect on the Nigerians regardless of their tribes and religions, emphasizing the importance of united to grow a real solution for threats regardless of ethnic pursuit.

“I urged Fulani to also go out in a strong term to oppose and condemn bandits and terrorism both in Muslims and Christian communities and win their members for peace to govern.

“Determining actions must be taken against all criminal elements who commit crimes without ethnic background to achieve the desired results,” he added.
