Singer Taylor Swift endorses Kamala Harris for US President

Popular American singer Taylor Swift has endorsed Democratic candidate Kamala Harris as the next President of the United States after her debate with Donald Trump.

In an Instagram post hashtagged ‘Childless Cat Lady’ shared minutes after the US presidential debate, Taylor Swift said Kamala Harris would be a “warrior” who would fight for the rights and causes she believes in.

“As a voter, I make sure to watch and read everything I can,” Swift wrote on Instagram to her 283 million followers on Tuesday night, adding: “I will be casting my vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 presidential election.”

“I think he is a strong and talented leader, and I believe we can achieve a lot more in this country if we are led by calm, not chaos.”

In his post shared on the image and video sharing platform, the musician urged his fans to register as voters and also expressed his concerns about AI and the dangers of spreading misinformation.

“It really brought home my fears about AI, and the dangers of spreading misinformation. It led me to the conclusion that I need to be very transparent about my true plans for this election as a voter.”
