Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Soludo has expressed confidence that the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) will secure a landslide victory in the September 28 local council elections in the state.
Soludo spoke at the APGA’s grand rally held on Saturday in Awka.
He noted that only APGA fielded candidates for all 21 chairmanship positions and 326 board positions from the nine political parties participating in the election.
“APGA is fully prepared for the election, and I assure you, no opponent or competitor can challenge us,” the governor asserted.

APGA National Chairman, Sly Ezeokenwa, highlighted Anambra’s progress during the 18 years under the party and urged voters to ensure they continue to support the party.
In his remarks, the party’s former National Chairman, Victor Oye, described the candidates as men and women of integrity who would work for the people.
The symbolic handover of party flags was carried out to the candidates for chairman and candidates for regional council members.
