The Governor of the State Anambra, Prof. Charles Soludo, on Saturday, secured the All Progressive Alliance (APGA) ticket to compete on November 8, 2025, the Governor Election in the State.
Soludo, the former Governor of the Central Bank Nigeria (CBN), was returned without an opponent during the main party election held at AWKA, the Capital of the State.
He surveyed more than 300 votes in a process that was widely described as peaceful, transparent, and reflected the unity of internal party.
The atmosphere at the event was marked happily as a loyal party, traditional rulers, youth groups, and market leaders gathered to witness the ratification of incumbent, whose government focused on infrastructure renewal, educational reform, and digital governance.
In a brief comment after his victory, Soludo expressed his gratitude to the party delegates and the anambra for their trust in his leadership.
He promised to continue to provide the agenda of his government, which he described as “contract with NDI Anambra which was built on the truth, transparency, and transformation.”
“This extraordinary endorsement is not only the validation of our past efforts but also a new call to work.
“We are building a new anambra that will be proud of by generations, and this trip continues with your support,” said the Governor.
