Southampton want to sell a Nigerian for the right price

Southampton will only sell striker Paul Onuachu for the right price, according to chief executive Rasmus Andersen.

The Saints signed the Nigerian international from Belgian Pro League club KRC Genk for £18m in January 2023.

Onuachu failed to score in 11 league appearances for the Premier League club.

The Nigerian international regained his best form during his loan spell at Trabzonspor last season.

The striker scored 15 goals in 21 league appearances for the Black Sea Storm.

Trabzonspor are keen to sign the former FC Midtjylland player on a permanent basis but have yet to meet Southampton’s valuation.

Andersen said clubs interested in signing the striker should pay the asking price.

“My phone rings every day when people want to talk about Onuachu. But if you want to buy a Ferrari, you can’t get money from Fiat,” he said. NTVSpor.
