Still a fox! Leicester convince Ndidi about new deal

This extension effectively ends any interest from Everton and Wolves, who were keen to acquire the Nigerian.

Ndidi’s previous contract expired in June and there was speculation he could leave as a free agent.

However, Leicester City managed to retain one of their key players.

The 27-year-old, who joined Leicester from Belgian club Genk in January 2017, has become a key figure for the team.

Since his arrival, Ndidi has made 273 appearances for Leicester City in all competitions and scored 17 goals.

He has played a pivotal role in the club’s successes including lifting the Emirates FA Cup, the FA Community Shield and most recently securing promotion to the Premier League as Championship winners last season.
