Ola Aina’s right back position in the Super Eagles is seriously threatened by Ryan Alebiosu, a senior team manager opens up to SCORENigeria
Blackburn Rovers fullback Alebiosu finally made his Super Eagles debut when he featured in the AFCON 2025 group match against Uganda.
It was his first and last game in Morocco after suffering a deep cut on his leg.
A Super Eagles official has told SCORENigeria that Alebiosu is here to stay in the national team and that Ola Aina, who missed the AFCON due to injury, would have to improve his game to keep the Blackburn Rovers star out of the starting XI.
“Alebiosu is a warrior,” he commented.
“He runs a lot, has a great recovery rate and is ready to fight any striker.
“It was a pity that Nigerians did not get to see more of the boy at AFCON apart from the game against Uganda.
“Do you know that he didn’t even know he had suffered a serious injury in that game until someone pointed out that his socks were bloody?
“Yes, Ola Aina now has a big fight on his hands for the Super Eagles right-back position.”
