Super Eagles set up a quarterfinal clash with Angola after defeating Cameroon

Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman was named Man of the Match as the Super Eagles triumphed over Cameroon’s Indomitable Lions, advancing to the 2023 African Cup of Nations quarterfinals.

Lookman scored twice in the match, securing a win for the Super Eagles in their intense clash with rivals in Bouake on Saturday.

He opened the scoring in the 32nd minute, capitalizing on an excellent pass from Victor Osimhen.

The ex-Everton player doubled his tally in stoppage time, finishing off a low cross from Calvin Bassey, following a smooth coordination with Alex Iwobi.

The Super Eagles are now set to face Angola in the quarterfinals, following Angola’s earlier victory over Namibia.
