Super Eagles should stop playing games in Uyo -udeze

The former Nigeria Ifeanyi Udeze said that the homemade parties of the Super Eagles should move from the Godswill Akpabio stadium in Uyo.

The Super Eagles continued their poor UYO race after their 1-1 draw with Zimbabwe, in Group C on Tuesday, 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

It was the third consecutive tie of the UYO team in the World Cup qualifiers after stagnations with Lesotho (1-1) and South Africa (1-1).

Also in their last group game against Rwanda in the qualifiers of the Cup of Nations of Africa 2025, the Super Eagles lost 2-1.

“I think we should consider another stadium because we have been drawing too many games at the Godswill Akpabio stadium, let’s fix other stadiums so they can also play there,” you said in Brila FM.

“For example, in the Nigerian League, when the clubs go to another land, you will realize that they fight to win because it is not their native land.

“So I agree with those who ask for a stadium change because, as I said, the raffles at the Godswill Akpabio stadium are too much.”

The Godswill Akpabio Stadium is the only land approved for all International Super Eagles parties.

The Stadium organized the homemade games of the team during the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
