The agent of Nigerian international striker Victor Osimhen has reacted to widespread reports that Napoli have reached an agreement with Saudi Arabia’s Al Ahli for the transfer of the 25-year-old, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.

According to several reports, Napoli have agreed a fee of €65 million with Al Ahli for the transfer of the Nigerian, who is interested in leaving the club but wants to go on his terms and decisions.

Napoli have already signed his replacement, Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku, but his departure is not yet certain and clubs are interested in the €130m asking price.

New Napoli boss Conte has not given the Nigerian a single minute in pre-season, league or cup play since taking charge, insisting on honouring the agreement reached with the striker when he signed a new contract in December.

Osimhen’s agent has weighed in on his client’s situation at Napoli, calling for respect and suggesting Osimhen still has plenty to do in Europe, subtly dismissing all talk of a move to Saudi Arabia.

“Victor is not a package that is sent away to make room for new prophets. We need respect and balance.” “Victor Osimhen still has a lot to do,” Roberto Calenda posted on X, formerly known as Twitter.

“Osimhen is a Napoli player, whose contract has recently been renewed to the mutual satisfaction of both the club and the player. He has made history… and when there were important offers (this year too) we always accepted the club’s decisions.”

“Victor was voted African footballer of the year, and he was eighth in the Ballon d’Or. We must respect that and balance it.”
