Super Eagles starting eleven against Iran: Chelle retains AFCON stars

Nigeria senior national team coach Eric Chelle will retain most of the players who represented the team at the AFCON in January for today’s friendly match against Iran, OwnGoalNigeria.com can exclusively reveal.

Although the coach could debut some newly invited players, such as Emmanuel Fernández, Yira Sor and Philip Otele, his goal is to have a good start to the tournament, so he will keep most of his trusted players.

Nigeria will play the first of their two games in the invitational tournament against world cup-bound Iran today and Chelle has already chosen the players for the match.

In goal, Francis Uzoho will retain his place with a back four of Bright Osayi-Samuel, Bruno Onyemaechi, Semi Ajayi and Igoh Ogbu.

Captain Wilfred Ndidi will be the main anchor in the middle alongside Alex Iwobi. The top four will be Moses Simon, Ademola Lookman, Paul Onuachu and Jerome Akor.
