Super Falcons Nigeria has survived in the 36th place in the latest FIFA women’s world ranking, released on Thursday through the official website of FIFA.
The team remains the highest ranking team of Africa after their recent victory in 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (Wafcon), where they return dramatically to defeat the host Morocco 3-2 in the final and claim their 10th title.
Morocco, despite finishing as Wafcon’s runner-up, fell to 64 globally but still third in Africa.

Banyana Banyana in South Africa, former Wafcon champion, holds stable worldwide and second on the continent.
Meanwhile, Queen Black Ghana, who finished third in Wafcon, dropped 67th in the global ranking.
On the world stage, Spain as a whole in the world was followed by the US in the ranking, then Sweden, England and Germany completed the top 5.
