Super Falcons started the Wafcon campaign with 3-0 struggling

Super Falcons Nigeria began their campaign for the 10th Africa Cup of Nations (Wafcon) title which was expanded with a 3-0 victory over Tunisia in their group B opening on Sunday.

Goals from Asisat Oshoala, Rinsola Babajide, and Chiwendu Ihezuo gave power to Falcons for their first Wafcon victory over Tunisia, marking a strong beginning for the tournament.

It took only four minutes for Nigeria to break the deadlock, when Oshhoala nodded in a low and curved free kick sent by Babajide from the left side.

Babajide then got his own ScoreSheet in the time of termination of the first half, weaving the road into the box before firing a low shot past the Tunisian goalkeeper. The strike marked his first goal in senior international competition.

Shortly before the break, Ashleigh Plumptre seems to have made him 3-0 with a strong header from the point, but the goal was ruled out for violating the goalkeeper.
