Super Falcons striker Ifeoma Onumonu joins Montpellier HSC

Nigerian international and Super Falcons striker Ifeoma Onumonu has signed a two-year contract with Montpellier HSC, ahead of the 2024-2025 French Women’s Football League campaign.

The 30-year-old forward makes the move following her release from Utah Royals in the US National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL).

Ifeoma Onumonu becomes the first Nigerian to join the Montpellier women’s team, which finished sixth in the Arkema Première Division last season.

She will now compete alongside her Super Falcons teammates Chiamaka Nnadozie, Tosin Demehin and Rofiat Imoran, who also play in France’s elite women’s league.
