Suspect police suspect related to kidnapping, murder of fence members anambra

The police operation in Anambra has rearranged one of the suspects suspected of being involved in a kidnapping and terrible murder of a member of the State Council Council, the late Hakim Azuka.

Azuka is a member of parliament representing the Constituency onithha 1 in the assembly before his death.

The MPs were kidnapped by armed people on December 24, 2024, when they returned home on Jalan Ugwunapampa, inland cities, Onitsha.

The police and other sister’s security agents then found his lifeless body on the second Niger Bridge on February 6.

The suspects who fled, who were among the 11 other people who were detained in connection with the alleged murder, fled when they led the fast response team operations, Awuzu, to find a tochukwu Akolisa.

Akolisa is touched by the suspects as one of those who buy victims’ vehicles and other valuables.

Spokesman for the State Police Command, Tochukwu Ikenga, confirmed the news in a statement on Tuesday at Onitsha.

According to the spokesman, the arrest of the suspect followed a tiring operation and led by intelligence by the command.

He said: “The suspect, who previously fled from detention, was traced in various states in Nigeria and even to neighboring West Africa.

“He was finally arrested on May 7 in Asaba, the capital of Delta.

“After seeing the operators, the suspect tried to escape from the arrest but quickly subdued and suffered a gunshot wound in the leg in the process.

“The order in its sustainable commitment to transparency and accountability, has given direction to relevant stakeholders including the family of the late MPs and Leadership of the House of the Anambra Council.”
