SWDC will guide the regional-md-nomine economic integration

The CEO of the nominee of the South-West Development Commission (SWDC), Dr. Charles Akinola, Wednesday in Abuja, revealed a bold vision for the region, anchored to the creation of a unified economic blockade aimed at attracting investments and promoting the development of talents.

Dr. Akinola, who revealed the vision during her screening by the Senate Committee on the commission for southwestern development, said that the commission’s strategy would have been built around a cohesive regional identity.

“Our vision is based on a strong regional development strategy-sei states, a block.

“By approaching the Region as a single economic entity, we can build a highly competitive identity that attracts both investments and high -level talents,” he said.

Akinola, an economist and expert of public policies with over 30 years of experience, has expressed confidence in his ability to lead the new commission for tangible development results.

His vision, according to him, is for a competitive, forward-looking and resilient South in the south-west within a prosperous Nigeria.

He said that the Region through the Commission will become a hub for the production, innovation and creation of jobs.
