Switzerland suffered a blow in preparation for its Euro 2024 round of 16 match against Italy, as three computers were stolen from its coaching staff, reports Football Italia.
The Swiss will face Italy in Berlin on Saturday June 29, having finished second in their group behind Germany, while La Nazionale finished second behind Spain.
This is the time when the coaches are going to work on tactical analysis and evaluate the opponent, but their plans were affected when three computers were stolen from the team hotel.
Adrian Arnold of the Swiss Football Federation confirmed to German newspaper Bild that local police were involved.
However, Arnold said that computer data “is not something we immediately need for accurate analysis.
“If this was an attack on Swiss data, it was against the wrong team.”
