It was a good start of the season for Sporting Lagos as they defeated Dannaz FC in match day one, keeping a clean sheet in the process which led to man of the match Yusuf Abdullahi tagging it as “just the beginning”.

Sporting Lagos who are playing in just their second TCC league season, defeated Dannaz FC by two unreplied goals to pick up maximum points and Yusuf described it as a testament to the team’s hard work in an interview with Sports247.
“Winning our first game of the season with a clean sheet let’s us know that hard work pays and so I dedicate this award to the entire team as this is just the beginning” Yusuf said.

“It gives me great joy. It’s a team effort and I am proud of our efforts today”, he added.
Sporting Lagos finished second in the debut season in the TCC, seven points behind winners Beyond Limits and so will be one to watch out for as they take on Real Sapphire in the next league game.
