The Nigeria team is intended to leave for Santiago, Chile, to compete in the prestigious world powerlifting championships, from 11 to 18 August 2025.
The team, including the best Nigeria powerlifters, will represent the nation with determination and pride, with the aim of further consolidating the domain of Nigeria in sport on the global phase.
General manager of the National Sports Commission, Hon. Bukola Olopade, he praised the athletes for their commitment and hard work during their camping period, exhorting them to do everything for the victory.

The participation of Nigeria in the championship reaffirms the commitment of the administration led by President Bola Tinubu to support the Para-Sport and enhance the athletes with disabilities to excel at the highest levels of competition.
