The police on Friday charged a 44 -year -old man, Temple Ononogbo, in the court of Judge Ikeja in Lagos for allegedly polluting his 11 -year -old niece.
The defendant, a merchant, was charged with alleged diothery and sexual violence.
Prosecutor, ASP Adegoke Ademigbuji, told the court that the defendant committed a violation between 2024 and April this year at his residence in the Ejigbo area in the state.
He said the defendant had sexually persecuted the victim since he began to live with him.
The prosecutor added that one of the neighbors who watched the victim’s face whenever he went to school to talk to him.

“The victim was open, and this caused the arrest of the defendant,” said Ademigbuji.
Violations, according to the prosecutor, violated the 137 and 261 parts of the Lagos State Criminal Law, 2015.
Judge Head, Ny. Oo Kushanu, refused to listen to the defendant’s request.
He ordered him to be returned to the Kirikiri Penitentiary until September 11 for the advice of the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP).
