The alleged killer of the Police Inspector was arrested in Anambra

The police operation in Anambra has arrested a suspect for alleged involvement in the murder of 2022 of a female police inspector in the UKPO division in the State Dunukofia area.

Spokesman for the State Police Command, Tochukwu Ikenga, revealed this in a statement on Tuesday at Awka.

He accused that the suspect was part of the group that upholds the illegal order at home in the southeast.

Ikenga said: “On April 25, the police operator attached to the fast response troops/anti-child units, acted based on credible intelligence, raided a criminal hiding place in the ukor and arrested a 35-year-old suspect, who came from Osumoghu ISiti village in the Ihiala regional government in the state.

“The suspect and his gang are suspected of planning to uphold the direction of illegal seats on the following Monday.

“During the interrogation, the suspect claimed that he was a member of the native Biafra (IPOB).

“He also admitted that he participated in the 2022 attack on the UKPO Police Division, where Inspector Stella Maris was killed horribly.”
