The anti -corruption group under the aegis of citizens concerned against corruption has denied a petition against the immediate CEO of the past group of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), Mele Kyari.
Citizens worried against corruption, who promised a legal action, observed that a face without face that claimed to be their members, had faced a press conference, in which they made some frivolous and ridiculous accusations of corruption against Kyari.
Contacting journalists in Abuja on Saturday, the group director, his partner Emeka Uwazurike, revealed that the impostors led by a partner Kabir Matazu was reported for having stormed the office of the general prosecutor of the Federation (AGF) Tuesday who asked for a complete probe and investigations on NNPCL transactions for the last five years under Kyari.
The anti -corruption group also stated that the impostors in their speech, specifically alleged large fraud and irregularities in the management of the maintenance of the turning point (tam) of the refineries of the nations under the guidance of Kyari.
“Usually our association would have ignored this shameless group and their owners of salary, but to avoid doubt we want to categorically affirm that at no time we have authorized any person or group of people to speak on our behalf on any question, including the recent childish attack on the former CEO of NNPCL.
“The so-called matizu and its co-ITVIers are not known to our association and therefore cannot use our association very respected to make the offers of some unscrupulous and false non-patriotic politicians who are on a mission of revenge.
“About the citizens against corruption, it was rather embarrassed by this orchestrated script that we had discovered since then they were designed to malign and cloud the hard reputation earned by Kyari,” said the group.
The anti -corruption group, however, requested the immediate arrest of the impostors, adding: “Therefore we ask for the immediate arrest of the members of this group and their sponsors to serve as a deterrent for others who may want to divert the name of the association for similar reasons.
“We also apologize in this juncture with Kyari apples for this unjustified attack on his person by these economic blackmail and their cohorts.”
The Association, who repented of the embarrassment that could have caused Kyari and his successful team, added: “For the registers, we joined each other millions of Nigerians who praised Kyari for his giant steps in shooting the fortunes of the company’s affairs in the five years in which he was in charge.
“Even President Bola Ahmed Tinubu would have been shocked by the explosion of this unparalleled group against Kyari who, while dissolving the board of directors he led by him, noticed the Storno results of the Board of Directors.”
The anti -corruption group observed that Kyari’s main result was the awakening of the long dying refineries of the decade of Nigeria.
“Under his leadership, the long -standing production activities in the refineries of Port Harcourt and Warri roar in life … with the Kaduna refinery that nods.
“This move would certainly have generated energy safety and would ensure that Nigeria’s refining ability could finally start satisfying the internal demand with much more for exports before rather than after.
“Kyari by recognizing that public refineries only cannot meet the needs of the nation, according to what reported strong collaborations with private refineries. The climax of this effort was the integration of the refinery of damage – a strategic partnership (this has begun with a direct investment in the refinery of dangar) which not only has expanded the reference skills of Nigeria, but also a premium competition An industry previously.
“Kyari’s forward -sighing approach laid the foundations for a more dynamic and self -sufficient energy sector. While some may want to attribute some of NNPC’s challenges and failures, discernment would prefer to give it its flowers for its ability to obtain results despite the tortuous and oppressive soil.
“From the supervision of the marketing of NNPC to the promotion of partnerships that in the end would bring renewed trust of the investors, has constantly provided results.
“His commitment to open nnpc limited for greater transparency, epitomized by the compliance of Nigeria with the transparency of the extractive industries (EITI), has set a new point of reference for governance in the oil and gas sector,” said the anti -corruption group.
