A number of unspecified Nigerian troops were reportedly killed when the suspect Boko Rebel were Haram invaded military formation in Izza Village, the Gwoza regional government in Borno on Sunday.
Public Relations Officer from the Hadin Kai Headquarters Theater Operations Command, Capt Reuben Kavongiya, who confirmed the incident in a statement to reporters, said the rebels attacked the formation around 1:00 in the morning before they were rejected.
A security source that spoke on anonymous condition, said the terrorists tried to attack the camp and transport weapons before they were rejected by the soldiers.
Also confirmed the attack in a statement on Monday morning, Chairman of Gwoza LGA, Abba Timta, said a number of terrorists were killed during the clashes while the number of troops killed at this time was unknown.

“The army was killed, but there were more victims on the rebel side with a lot of escape with a shot injury,” he said.
A resident of the Gwoza community told reporters that local residents and local hunters collaborated with the military to expel the territories who came in large quantities
“We know about the incident as happened at Izge today. The news circulating here said that the Boko Haram group attacked en masse but was rejected by the joint efforts of the hunter and vigilante local judges and especially the vigilantism,” said the source.
