Operations of the Narcotics Law Enforcement Agency (Ndlea), have arrested a drug ruler sought, Okpara Paul Chigozie, who has been running for seven years.
Director, Media & Advocacy Ndlea, Femi Babafemi, who revealed this in a statement in Abuja on Sunday, said the 60 -year -old drug kingpin was arrested while trying to send cocaine and metamfetamine 11 kg to the southeast and other parts of the country.
In the statement, Babafemi said OKPARA, who had been on the desired list of the agency since 2019, was arrested at his hiding place in 72 Micheal Ojo Street, Isheri in the Ojo area in the state of Lagos on Sunday, July 13, after the prevention of several delivery in Ilasamja throughout-Expressway.
“In the morning operation, the team of Ndlea officers who acted based on credible intelligence, arrested one of Okpara’s couriers, Achebe Kenneth Nnamdi, who was 51 years old when heading to Onitsha, the state of Anambra with a white Toyota Sienna vehicle,” said the agency spokesman.
“The agency’s sniffer dog was then taken to search for vehicles after that 7.6 kilograms of cocaine and 900 grams of metamfetamine were found to be hidden in the body of the space bus body.

“Follow -up operations were immediately carried out at the Okpara hiding place in Isheri where an additional 1.8kg cocaine and 1.3kg metamfetamine were found from his residence,” he said.
Also talking about other arrests made by Ndlea operators, Babafemi said a passenger bound by Italy, Omoregie Nice Uyiosa, was arrested on Wednesday 16 July, while boarding a plane to Italy through Istanbul with Turki Airlines flights.
