The arrest of police suspected of car thieves, recovering 3 stolen vehicles

Police operations in Ondo have arrested a 42 -year -old car thief, Ayodele Temitope, and found three stolen vehicles in the state.

Commissioner of State Police, Tn. Wilfred Afolabi, revealed this on Friday when giving a briefing to journalists about command operations over the past few months in the state.

CP said the arrest of Temitope and other achievements was a will of a strong command security strategy, operations driven by intelligence, and service of dashing officers and men.

Afolabi said Temitope was arrested after a complaint received on March 16 from one Tajudeen Kasali from a high school, Akure, whose Dyna vehicle was stolen.

“The complainant woke up around 3:00 on the same date, and found that the dyna, with the registration number of MKA 627 XC worth N5 million, was lost.

“The police, after receiving complaints, started an investigation, and on an information owned by a caring citizen, a 42 -year -old Ayodele Temitope, was arrested.

“During the investigation, the suspect acknowledged his involvement in criminal acts and confirmed that the stolen vehicle was sold to someone in Ibadan, the state of Oyo, for N1.8 million.

“As a result, the operators from the Tactical Intelligence Response squad (TIR) โ€‹โ€‹in action, and restored the stolen Dyna from the man, who, with ignorance, bought the stolen vehicle.

“The team recovered other stolen Nissan Primera vehicles, with the registration number of LND 248 BF, from the suspect in Ibadan.

“Another stolen Toyota Camry, with the registration number of KTU 235 GA, was also found from the suspect’s house in Saki, Oyo State,” said CP.
