Police operations in Akwa Ibom have arrested five suspected people and discovered firearms in the Ibesikpo Asutan state.
Spokesman for the State Police Command, Timfon John, revealed this in a statement on Thursday at UYO.
John stated that the suspects were arrested in a hiding place in Ikot Ethuk Village, the regional region of the Ibesikpo Asutan regional government in the state on Wednesday.
He said a locked pistol, a single-barrel pistol made, and a mantra that was prohibited from being found from the suspects.

“The suspects have voluntarily provided useful information to the police regarding their criminal activities.
“This includes their involvement in this new attack on Fulani herds, which resulted in the murder of two cows.
“The stolen cow was reportedly distributed among various cult groups in Ibesikpo Asutan,” the spokesman added.
