The arrest of the police 6 is suspected of being a kidnapper, restoring the AK-47 rifle in Kaduna

The police operation in Kaduna has arrested six kidnappers and found four AK-47 rifles made up in the state.

Spokesman for the State Police Command, Mansir Hassan, confirmed the development in a statement issued on Saturday at Kaduna.

He said the operation followed a credible intelligence about the presence of a kidnapper suspected of taking refuge in Gida Abe in the state.

The spokesman said: “Acting quickly on the information, the Tafa Division Police Division Officers (DPO) immediately mobilized the supervisory team to the location.”

“The team managed to arrest one of Isa Ibrahim, 30 years old.

“During the interrogation, the suspect claimed to be a member of the kidnapping gang operating in Kwara.

“The suspect also revealed that his new accomplice was arrested in Kwara, who took him to move to Kaduna with the intention to establish a new gang.

“On the same date, around 3:30 noon, DPO Saminaka received a credible intelligence showing the existence of two famous bandits in Lamido Village, Lere Lga.

“Acting immediately on information, DPO mobilizes the patrol team to the location.

“The team succeeded in arresting two suspects, namely: Sani five of Unguwan FA, Rami Kura, and Murtala Magaji (alias Seto), from Dambata in Galadimawa Village, both from Kauru LGA.

“The suspects claimed to be involved in a series of kidnapping activities in the area.”
